Does your content have a plan — or just a posting schedule?

Pandauecho's editorial strategy service turns vague publishing goals into a structured, audience-aligned content plan you can execute every month.

Start with strategy

Editorial strategy documents and analytics laid out on a bright desk

What editorial strategy actually means

An editorial strategy is not a content calendar. It's the thinking underneath the calendar — who you're writing for, what problems you're solving, which topics build authority, and how each piece links to a business outcome. At Pandauecho, we start every engagement with a two-week discovery sprint. We audit your existing content, interview key stakeholders, and map your competitive landscape. The output is a 30-page editorial strategy document that defines your content pillars (typically four to six core topics), your audience personas with real search-behaviour data from Kenyan platforms, and a 90-day editorial calendar template tied to your product or sales cycle. You walk away knowing exactly what to publish, why, and for whom — for the next quarter and beyond.

What's included in the strategy engagement

A clear deliverable list so you know what you're getting before the work begins.

Content audit report

A structured review of your existing assets — what's performing, what's orphaned, and what gaps exist that competitors are already filling in your category.

Audience persona set

Three to five documented personas built from real data: what they search for, where they spend time online, what questions they ask before buying, and how they prefer to consume content.

Content pillar framework

A defined set of four to six topic clusters that will anchor your publishing for the year, each with subtopic examples, keyword themes, and target funnel stage mapped clearly.

90-day editorial calendar template

A plug-and-play calendar in your preferred tool (Notion, Airtable, or Google Sheets) pre-populated with the first quarter's topics, owners, formats, and target publish dates.

When strategy alone isn't enough

Editorial strategy is the foundation — but it doesn't automatically produce content or train your team. If you need the full system built, our content pipeline design and team onboarding services run alongside this one in a single engagement. We're honest about scope: if your team has fewer than two dedicated content people, a full strategy rollout may be premature. In that case, we'll tell you and recommend a lighter-touch starting point. We also don't write the content itself — Pandauecho is a systems company, not a content agency. Our job is to make your team as capable as possible.
